Receive Town News Electronically Via the Town’s E-Mail Subscriber Service
Posted January 10th, 2008In an on-going effort by the Town Council to improve communication between government and the citizens it serves, the Town Council would like to let residents know that they may sign up for the town’s electronic newsletter, which is used for the dissemination of important information. These e-mails will include notifications regarding town news, meetings and events, and are sent directly to personal e-mail accounts. The Town Council plans to use this e-blast service to greater effect and would like to reach as many residents as possible.
Sign-up is easy; from the homepage of the town’s website, click on the          “E-Newsletter Sign Up” link in the center of the page.
Those residents using the e-mail subscriber service should be aware that security levels on home internet systems may need to be adjusted to allow for incoming    e-mails from the town that might otherwise be blocked as SPAM.
Another way to obtain town information is to click “subscribe” under the “RSS Subscribe” section of the town’s homepage. After you subscribe, updated town news and information is automatically downloaded in headline format to the browser of your choice.
The Town Council would like to ask residents to recruit fellow citizens to sign up for the e-newsletter e-mail subscriber service. Let’s keep the lines of communication open; please tell a friend about the service! Questions may be directed to the Town Manager’s Office at 871-3600 or you may e-mail the Town Council directly at towncouncil@tolland.org.
