Public Works Reorganization

At the beginning of 2008, Management Partners, Inc. was hired to complete a study of the Town’s Public Works Department. A major recommendation of the study was to consolidate the Highway, Parks & Facilities, and Cemetery Departments under the Public Works Operations Manager, formerly the position of the Parks & Facilities Director. Reporting to the Public Works Operations Manager (Clem Langlois, Jr.) will be: the Highway Superintendent, Working Foreman-Highway, Working Foreman-Parks & Facilities, the Highway crew and the Parks & Facilities crew.

There will also be some secretarial changes as of September 1st. Shannon Gallo, Administrative Secretary II, will be working out of an office at the town hall as the main secretarial support for all Public Works Operations.

All phone calls, e-mails or inquiries for Public Works will be answered by Shannon Gallo or Clem Langlois. Mr. Langlois will now have an office in the town hall. Their offices are located on the 2nd level of the town hall. Please direct inquiries to either:

Phone calls, e-mails or inquiries related to our Solid Waste or Recycling Program will continue to be handled by Mary Neimann, Administrative Secretary I, at 871-3670.

The office of the Public Works Administrator/Town Engineer, David Smith, has been relocated to the Planning & Community Development Office on the 3rd level of the town hall and will provide professional administrative support to the Public Works operation as part of his responsibilities.
