Public Works Snow Removal Operations

January 28, 2011

The Public Works Department would like to inform residents of our ongoing snow removal operations.  Our crews will continue to push back roadside edges and intersection banks today, tonight and Saturday.  We will be bringing in special wing plows which are more capable of pushing back the snow.  In doing so, end of driveways will again be filled in.  We understand how hard you have been working to clear them and we do apologize for the inconvenience but it must be done to insure public safety.   This amount of snow is also a lot of weight for mailboxes to withstand and residents are reminded that the Town does not replace mailboxes or posts if damaged.  We ask that you please pass this information along to your neighbors so more are aware of our ongoing snow removal operations.  We thank you for your cooperation and understanding.
