Tolland Animal Control Seeks Donations

In the spring of 2016, Tolland Animal Control acquired a used livestock trailer through the generosity of a local resident. The addition of is trailer is intended to transport large animals of all kinds when found roaming distances from their home, found injured or due to other circumstances that require them to be transported.

Over the summer some work was completed, such as new tires, a new interior floor and updates to the interior walls. However the trailer requires additional work before it can be placed into service by the Department. Safety items such as the addition of reflective lettering and chevrons as well as new interior dividers are among the items needed.  If you would like to donate to this project, please mail your check payable to “Town of Tolland ACO Trailer Fund”, 21 Tolland Green, Tolland, Connecticut, 06084, Attention: ACO Trailer Fund.

Our goal is to help every animal in town whether big or small, during all types of situations or emergencies. With your help to complete this project we can respond to large animal incidents much better prepared, resulting in a quicker resolution and less stress for the animal involved.

We thank you in advance for your consideration and support of this project.  Donations in any amount will be greatly appreciated and will be used to complete and maintain the trailer.
