    MEMORIAL TREE PLANTING PROGRAM

The Town of Tolland is pleased to announce its Memorial Tree Planting Program. For a minimum donation of $25.00 you may mark births, passings, graduations, anniversaries, weddings, christenings and other significant life events with a tree planting. The Town has created a special Memorial Tree Fund dedicated exclusively to this purpose.

Contributions are held in the fund until sufficient funds are available for the purchase of trees. The current market price for a single tree is estimated at $250.00.

The Parks and Facilities Department will administer the program from its town hall office at 21 Tolland Green, Tolland, CT 06084, phone: (860) 871-3693. The office will mail donor acknowledgment cards and notify the public when plantings have occurred.

For more information about this program, you may contact the Parks and Facilities Department at (860) 871-3693 or via e-mail through this website by clicking here.

    COMMEMORATIVE DONATION PROGRAM

In addition, donations toward the purchase of artwork, chairs, benches, etc. either in memory or in honor of someone are being accepted. Residents and businesses can make donations to the Town for specific items identified by the Town and these would be so recognized by either a plaque or a letter of thanks and an indication of where the money would be used.

Examples include: Rockville Bank, in conjunction with its successful grand opening at the new Fieldstone Commons plaza on Route 195, made a $1,000 donation toward the purchase of a historical replica streetlight in the Tolland Green area as well as a $1,000 donation toward the cost of new chairs to be placed in Council Chambers and utilized for all meetings held in Council Chambers.
