Essay Contest
Tell us in 500 words or less
“Why you feel Tolland is a Great Place to Live”
Prizes will be awarded for the best essay from each of the following age categories: K-2nd grade, 3rd – 5th, 6th -8th, 9th -12th, age 18-25, 26-50, and age 51 & up. All essays must be submitted to the Recreation Office by March 31st. Please write legibly or type your entry. All essays become the property of the Town and will be posted for public viewing. Winners will be announced in April.
We also want to test how well you know the Town you live in. We will be posting a series of photos of prominent places and people in Tolland for you to identify. We will be adding new ones every month through the end of August. Print out a scorecard and submit a completed card to the Recreation Office by August 30th to be eligible to win.

The Third Annual Summer Solstice Triathlon is scheduled to be held at Crandall Park on Saturday, June 19th.
Following the success of last years event organizers hope to make the 2010 event bigger and better. A listing of the results for the 2009 race can be found by going on the plattsys.com website.

White Elephant Sale set for Saturday, April 17th 8am till 12pm
in the Hicks Gym. If you are cleaning out your basement or attic and you have lots of good things you don’t want to throw out then donate them to us for our fund raising sale to raise money for the Scholarship fund.
