Sport Licenses & Boating
Fishing, hunting and combination licenses may be applied for in the Town Clerk’s Office. Licenses are valid for a calendar year. Bow permits are purchased through the State DEP but the applications are available at the Town Clerk’s Office. First-time hunters must present a Connecticut hunters safety certificate when purchasing a license. Others must have a hunting license less than five years old. The Town Clerk’s Office also sells fishing and hunting licenses to non-residents who hold a current hunting license from their own state. Pheasant tags and state bird stamps may also be purchased at the Town Clerk’s Office.
Applications for permits to hunt deer and turkey, along with hunting and fishing guides, are also available, along with applications for state boating certification and boating guides.
