Following the conclusion of the January 30, 2007 Townwide Public Forum, those in attendance were asked to complete the 2007 Citizen Survey, which was also mailed to a random sample of 2,000 Town residents the first week of February. The survey was also available for pick-up at the town hall in the Town Clerk’s Office, the Town Manager’s Office and at Tolland Public Library and the Senior Center.
The Town Council sought resident’s opinions about the town’s budget and services. The Citizen Survey is one of the ways the Council is collecting this information. Resident’s participation in the survey will help the Town Council to determine how to best use the town’s financial resources to preserve and enhance quality of life in the community. Responses were anonymous and confidential and reported in group form only. Data was collected by the Center for Survey Research and Analysis at the University of Connecticut, an independent survey organization.
