Route 195 Corridor Study
The Connecticut Department of Transportation (ConnDOT) and Capitol Region Council of Governments (CRCOG) have initiated a study to identify the transportation needs and define near and long-term improvements along Route 195 in the Town of Tolland.
The study will focus on two items: (1) components that define the roadway system, the transit system and pedestrian/bicycle mobility and safety, and (2) the growth potential and impacts to area roadways from undeveloped and underutilized properties along Route 195.
The study will be carried out over the next 12- to 15-months by CRCOG and consultant, Vanasse Hangen Brustlin, Inc. (VHB). Representatives from ConnDOT and the Town of Tolland will be consulted with throughout the process and a Municipal Advisory Committee appointed by the Tolland Town Council will help direct the study.
Public Information Meetings will be held throughout the study. The first were held on March 5, 2008, April 24, 2008 and Tuesday, December 2, 2008.
Route 195 Advisory Committee Meetings are open to the public as well and public participation is encouraged. You may scroll down for more information on Route 195 Advisory Committee Meetings.
