Electronics Recycling
The Connecticut Resources Recovery Authority (CRRA) provides residents of specific Towns, including Tolland, with dates and locations for electronics recycling drop-off at no charge. Additional electronic items can also be recycled at these one day events. To find the dates, locations and additional information, please check the CRRA website (www.crra.org).
ANYTHING THAT IS NOT LISTED UNDER RECYCLABLES OR IS NOT METAL SHOULD BE THROWN IN THE REGULAR TRASH.
The Town of Tolland is presently recycling:
- Cardboard and Brown Paper bags
- Milk & Juice Cartons
- Glass and Metal Food Containers
- Mixed Paper (Including Junk Mail, Magazines, Multi Ply Carbon Paper)
- Newspaper
- Soft & Hard Covered Books
- Phone Books
- Copy, Color and Computer Paper
- Plastic Containers #1 through #7
- Storage Batteries (Wet Cell Storage Batteries for Autos)
PICK-UP SCHEDULE FOR RECYCLABLES IS EVERY WEEK, ON YOUR REGULAR TRASH PICK-UP DAY.
Blue recycling carts are issued when a new home receives its Certificate of Occupancy. Please note that the Blue Recycling Cart is the property of the Town of Tolland. It stays with the residence if you move. It must be used in conjunction with the recycling program because it signals the recycling truck to stop.
For general recycling questions, you may call the town hall at (860) 926-4695 or (860) 871-3600.
We would like to thank you for your cooperation and help in making the Recycling Program a success. Together we have done a terrific job and hopefully it will continue!!
