Consider a United Way donation to the Tolland Public Library Foundation

The Tolland Public Library Foundation reminds town residents and library patrons that they can donate to the Foundation through the United Way of the Capital Area.

Donations can be directed to the Foundation through payroll deductions by including the following information: Tolland Public Library Foundation, 21 Tolland Green, Tolland, CT 06084, Designation code: AG1694.

The Foundation was established in 1996 to receive donations to benefit the Tolland Public Library and to enhance library services beyond what the town budget provides.

Recently, the Foundation funded subscriptions to popular online databases that are available to all Tolland library card holders such as Ancestry.com and Job Now.

To celebrate the Tolland 300th Anniversary this year, the Foundation sponsored a popular series of six lectures examining every 50 years of the town’s history.

It holds a poetry slam for middle and high school students, supports small business lectures at the library and sponsors the Eaton-Dimock-King Authors Series.
