Fire Department Cautions Residents about Phone Solicitations
The Tolland Fire Department has received information that questionable telephone calls are being placed to Tolland residents soliciting funds for firefighters.
The Tolland Fire Department has not authorized anyone to make such calls on its behalf and is not attempting to raise funds in this manner.
Residents who receive such a call should question the caller carefully about the exact identity of the organization soliciting the funds, and should not give out any personal financial data over the telephone.
