Vacancies Available on Town Boards and Commissions

Volunteers are sought for the following vacancies on Town boards and commissions.  For additional information about any of these vacancies, please call the Town Manager’s Office at (860) 871-3600 or e-mail vacancies@tolland.org.  Unless otherwise stated, all appointments are made by the Town Council.  You may click on the appropriate Commission and it will direct you to the actual page of our website.

Agriculture Commission –  (1) Member:  to fulfill a term expiring 07-09-2019.

Agriculture Commission –  (1) Alternate:  to fulfill a term expiring 07-09-2021.

Blight Review Committee – (1) Member:  to fulfill a term expiring 01-01-2021. 

Inland Wetlands & Watercourses Commission - (1) Alternate:  to fulfill terms expiring 11-06-2019. 

Non-Profit Housing Corporation - (1) Member:  to fulfill a term expiring 07-01-2019. 

Permanent Celebration Committee - (1) Member:  to fulfill a term expiring 11-06-2019. 

Tolland Water Commission - (1) Member:  to fulfill a term expiring 01-31-2020.

Water Pollution Control Authority(2) Alternates:  to fulfill terms expiring 08-26-2019.

Interested candidates for any of these appointments are invited to submit letters of interest and/or resumes to:

Interested candidates must be registered voters.

~ ~ ~In accordance with state law (Section 11 of Public Act 08-3), the agendas of the regular meetings of every public agency, except for the General Assembly, shall be posted and filed not less than 24 hours before the meetings to which they refer and posted on the website of the public agency. Official copies of agendas and any attachments referenced are filed and available for public inspection at the Town Hall in the Town Clerk’s Office on the 5th floor.

The votes of each member of any such public agency shall be reduced to writing and made available for public inspection within 48 hours of the meeting to which they refer and shall also be recorded in the minutes of the session at which taken. Within 7 days of the session to which such minutes refer, such minutes shall be made available for public inspection and posted on the public agency’s website, if available. Official copies of minutes are filed and available for public inspection at the Town Hall in the Town Clerk’s Office on the 5th floor.
