Effective March 18, 2020 and until further notice, our offices are closed to the public. However, staff continues to work. We can be reached by phone and by email. If you need to submit an application or other paperwork to us, you can deposit items in a drop-box located in Parking Lot A on Old Post Road. You can also email or mail some forms and applications. Check with us to see what option will be best. Forms and applications are available on-line as follows: 

Board and Commission meetings will be held remotely using "Zoom". The public is able to remotely attend these meetings. Detailed instructions will be included at the bottom of meeting agendas.

The Planning & Community Development Department is charged with reviewing building and development projects to ensure compliance with State and Town codes and regulations. The Department also performs long range development and conservation planning projects and studies, gathers community data, advises the public on planning and zoning matters, encourages sound economic development and assists other town agencies as needed. 

Staff provides technical guidance and support to the Planning and Zoning Commission, Zoning Board of Appeals, Inland Wetlands Commission, Conservation Commission, Agriculture Commission, Design Advisory Board, Water Pollution Control Authority and the Water Commission.

In most cases, responses to emails shall be handled during normal business hours.
