Tolland Fire Department to Collect Unwanted Cell Phones for HopeLine Program

In conjunction with Verizon Wireless’ HopeLine Program the Tolland Fire Department is collecting old cell phones and accessories to benefit domestic violence victims and survivors.

You can donate a phone by following these five easy steps:

Step 1: Erase any data from the phone and disconnect the phone’s service with your wireless provider.

Step 2: Remove any storage and SIM cards from the phone.

Step 3: Power off the phone

Step 4: Place your wireless phone from any service provider along with the battery, charger and any accessories you wish to donate in to a plastic bag.

Step 5: Bring the bag to the Tolland Fire Department Training Center and place it in the HopeLine bin. The Tolland Fire Department Training Center is located at 191 Merrow Road, Tolland, Connecticut. Hours - Monday through Friday 8:30am-4:30pm.

HopeLine collects no-longer used wireless phones, batteries, chargers and accessories in any condition from any service provider to benefit victims and survivors of domestic violence. Wireless phones given to HopeLine are turned into valuable financial support for domestic violence awareness and prevention initiatives.
